One More Reason to Switch to PLoS

As others have already noted, Shelley Batts of Retrospectacle has been threatened with legal action for reproducing material from a scientific paper. Shelley didn't even reproduce the paper in full or fail to attribute anything, she reproduced one part of one figure and one chart from the entire paper. It looks like the publication she quoted from just wants to eliminate the publicity from Shelley's review.

Yeah, great job you assholes. The best way to eliminate bad publicity is through threatening to sue someone to silence criticism.

The best way to ameliorate this difficulty is by spreading as much bad publicity as possible. So if you have a blog, I implore you to spread the word of this journal's ghastly impropriety.
